FORBES (Newburgh) Doreen, George and families would like to thank everybody who paid their last respects to dad, at the house and cemetery. The lovely cards, phone calls and floral tributes were all very much appreciated. The comforting service by George Rodger was excellent, the funeral arrangements by G. Burgess and Sons was carried out with the utmost respect and dignity. The Rev. Don Hawthorn who led my dad to his last resting place, playing the bag pipes. Thank you all very sincerely. The family would also like to say a very special thank you to George and Shelia Moir for taking dad to Orkney several times over the past few years, Ian Moir for running him around the island to see his old haunts, Malcolm and Liz Forbes for their frequent visits, Doug Gray a dear friend for many years for all the birds and finally Audrey Clarke for the lovely baking. The family are grateful for everything you all did for our dear dad. We will miss him very much!
