PATERSONGordon Aird Paterson, born Croftfoot, Glasgow 1953, died in the Highland Hospice, Inverness on May 12, 2017. Resident of Eastbourne, Aberdeen, Portlethen, Alford, Fort William and Beauly. Former Paratrooper, North Sea oil worker and taxi driver. His family and friends knew him as a fearless mountaineer with a wonderful sense of humour who loved his native Scotland. After a 12 month battle with MND he died as he lived- with courage and on his own terms. Funeral on May 25, 2017, 11am, at Inverness Crematorium.
