PALMER
James B.D. (51). Peacefully, after a short illness, on Tuesday, October 26, 2004, in the Sloan-Kettering Hospital, New York, USA. A former pupil of Gordon's College. James graduated in Medicine from Aberdeen University in 1978. His working life started in the hospital wards of the North East before his medical career took him to The Hammersmith Hospital, London. There he made the transition into Pharmaceutical Research which eventually resulted in a move to America and ultimately promotion to Chief Scientific Officer with Bristol-Myers Squib. James is survived by his beloved wife Susie Davidson and his much loved children Ralph, Sarah and Alexandra, now of Durham N.C., also in the UK by his mother Rosie and sisters Tessa and Eski.
