George Hardie, aged 83 years, died on June 23, peacefully, at Barclay Park Nursing Home, Mobberley. Beloved husband of Olive, and dearest father of Jennifer, Hester, Colin and George. Formerly Chairman and Chief Executive of Thomson Withy Grove and Director of Thomson Regional Newspapers, also of Aberdeen Journals, Scotsman Publications and Middlesbrough Evening Gazette. Funeral service at the Macclesfield Crematorium, Cheshire, on Monday, July 5, at 11.30 a.m., to which all friends are respectfully invited.
