ROSS (Islay/Portessie) Peacefully, at his home, 15 Broomhill, Bowmore, Isle of Islay, Argyll & Bute, PA43 7HX on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, in the presence of his family and following a short illness borne with great courage and dignity, John Alexander, aged 76 years (formerly of 7 Stuart Street, Portessie), dearly loved husband of Kate, loving dad of Linda, David, John, Eileen, Andrew and stepson Ben, a loving granda and great-granda, a much loved brother to Davena and Mary, father-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and respected friend to many. Funeral service in the Kilarrow Parish Church, Bowmore, Islay, on Saturday, August 30, at 11.30 a.m., thereafter to the Parish Cemetery, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Donations, if desired, for Islay District Nurses may be given at the church door. A memorial service will be held in Buckie at a later date.
