CHALMERS (Boyndie/Banff) It is with great sadness the family announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of Gordon Addison Chalmers, on Sunday, October 20, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Beloved and cherished husband of Margaret (nee Allan), adored dad to Dawn, Carol and Edward. Father-in-law to Audrey and Greg. Devoted papa to Hollie, Jasmine, Mitchell, Harvey, Oscar and Elisha. The funeral service will be held in Whitehills Parish Church, on Thursday, October 31, at 11am, thereafter to Boyndie Cemetery, to which all friends and family are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please. However, if desired, donations may be given in his memory, to Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Air Ambulance Charity and ICU, Ward 201, Whitehills Parish Church.

Gordon Addison Chalmers

Gordon (& Margaret) were good friends & neighbours to me & my late wife Mary when we lived at Bryden, Boyndie for 15 years. During our first week there, Gordon pulled up in his tractor & left a bag of vegetables on the doorstep. A wonderful gesture. As new to the area we were made very welcome & over the years became part of the local community. I would help with tattie sorting & would often ride in the combined harvester with Gordon. He was a man of conviction & a tremendous worker at Thriepland Farm. Now at peace. Thanks for the memories Gordon. Denis Askham.
