IAIN PAUL ROSS 28/01/1943 - 11/05/2024 Our beloved Iain passed away at home a year after a cancer diagnosis. A country loon from Lonmay, he attended Aberdeen Grammar and studied Zoology at Aberdeen University. He emigrated to Canada and spent many years in the Canadian Weather Service in the high Arctic. He married Alison, an Anaesthetist, and they had three fabulous daughters, Jenny, Catherine and Emily, while in Yellowknife and Calgary. Iain loved MGs, Volvos, hiking, gliding, diving, windsurfing, gardening, beekeeping, music, good food and holidays in Scotland. Most of all he loved being a stay at home dad when the family returned to Scotland. He loved his rural life with his family plus cats, dogs, hens and bees. He always enjoyed each day because he said you never knew what was going to happen next. He was our rock. Fun and funny, always ready with a joke. After his three score and ten he said every day was a bonus. We celebrated his life at Baldarroch and would like to thank all the family and friends who came. It was a good send off. Alison, Jenny and Emily Ross and Catherine and Andrew Ransom
