THOMSON (Kintore/Port Elphinstone) Joyce, June and families would like to sincerely thank everyone for the many messages of sympathy, cards, flowers and calls on the recent very sad loss of their dad, Jimmie. Special thanks to the Rev. Neil Meyer for his friendship, visits and comforting words; also to our dear friend, Mary Burnett, who played so beautifully at the service and to Pat Cran for her tribute to dad. Special thanks to the devoted carers who came to the house daily to help Jimmie, to the district and community nurses, the doctors at Inverurie and Kintore and the Marie Curie Nurses who provided special overnight care. Our thanks and appreciation also go to Karen McRobbie from Macmillan, for her unfailing support. Heartfelt thanks to Sean and Martin of Craig & Beverly Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism in arranging the funeral; thank you also to Country Flavours for providing the lovely teas and to Floral Request for the wonderful floral tribute. Finally, our grateful thanks to all who joined us to pay their last respects and donated so generously to Marie Curie Nurses and Macmillan Cancer Support, which raised £1,500.
