LOUGH Peacefully at Persley Castle Care Home, on Sunday, July 24, 2022, Alexander Kenneth (Ken) Lough BSc, PhD, DSc, FRSC, FRSE, aged 95 years. Beloved husband of Ruth, loving father, grandfather and great- grandfather, dear brother to Douglas and the late Catherine. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 19, in The Cathedral Church of St Machar, The Chanonry, at 2pm, to which all family and friends are invited. No flowers please. Donations, if so desired, to Alzheimer Scotland. With very special thanks to all staff at Persley Castle Care Home.

I recall my last interaction with Ken a few years ago when I arrived for a surprise visit with Ruth. Ken recited poetry relevant to our conversation. As always, sensitive, kind, brilliantly knowledgeable and thoughtful. Be at peace Dee x
