RUTHVEN Suddenly but peacefully in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. William Alan Ruthven (Alan), aged 84 years. Beloved husband of Shirley, much loved dad of Ann, dear father-in-law of Toby, proud grandpa of Rowan and Emily, dear brother to Kathleen and Edna, uncle to Sandra, Steven, Barbara, Pat, Christine, Alan, Gary and David and friend and teammate to many. A proud Officer of the Green Howards Regiment and Founding Member of Peterhead Rugby Club. Funeral service to be held in Moray Crematorium, on Thursday, April 21, at 1.30pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please but donations may be given in Alan's memory for SSAFA and Murrayfield Injured Players Foundation. In recognition of Alan's time with the Green Howards, feel free to wear something green.
