COWIE (Peterculter) Suddenly after a short illness on Saturday, April 9, 2022, George Scott Cowie, aged 83 of St Ronan's Drive, Peterculter. Dearly loved and loving husband of Tessa, devoted father of Lindsay and Judith and father-in-law of Alister, cherished grandfather to Alex, Peter and Calum, brother to Elizabeth and dear friend to many. Ex Captain of 47th Aberdeen Company Boys Brigade and President of Culter Mills and The DISC Bowling Clubs. Short service at Baldarroch Crematorium, Crathes on Wednesday, April 20, at 10am, followed by a memorial service at Peterculter Parish Church at 11.30am, all welcome to both. Family flowers only, donations if desired, to the British Diabetic Association. Rest in peace George.

So sad to hear of George’s passing Tessa. He was a kind and inspirational man to so many people, as you are too. Lovely memories of visiting you at Drumoak along with Ian Moultrie when we were home from New Zealand. Of course Ian had a special connection with George as they worked together. I have let both Ian and George know and I’m sure it would be appropriate for me to pass on their very sincere condolences too.
