SIM In his 100th year, Alexander (Alex), sometime of Turriff, died peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at ARI, late of the Gordon Highlanders and Reconnaissance Corps. Dear husband of the late Madeline, much loved dad of Patricia, Lorna, Valerie and the late Lesley and a beloved grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great-grandpa and brother. Funeral service to be held at St Marks Church, on Monday, January 31, at 1.30pm. All friends respectfully invited, cremation thereafter private. Please no flowers at dad's own request.

I worked with Alex at the Gordon Highlanders Museum. He was such a joy to spend time with. He modestly regaled visitors to the Museum with tales of his experiences and anecdotes from his time with the Highlanders. He was also a favourite with children when they came on school visits. Sadly missed.
