FORREST Captain Andrew William (MN Rtr'd) (Torphins) Barely seven months after the passing of his wife, Margaret Sheila, the family of Andrew are saddened to announce his passing, on Monday, July 26, 2021, he slipped away peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at Annesley Care Home, Torphins, where he had been in residence for the last seven years, last surviving and eldest son of the late William and Jamesina Forrest (nee Ross), of Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire and brother to the late John James (Jim). His life was lived at sea for fifty years, with many tales to tell! He was known to many and will be missed by all who knew him, especially his children Blair and Seona (Nelson, NZ), and little Tilly the dog. His final voyage will cast off from 18 Grampian Terrace, Torphins, at 9.15am, on Tuesday, August 17, via Grampian Terrace, St Marnan Road and Raemoir Road in Banchory. Service at Baldarroch Crematorium, Crathes, at 10am. Family flowers only, come as you are, no black! Donations/retiral collection to RNLI.
