TAYLOR (Gourdon) Melvin very sadly and suddenly passed away, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, aged 75 years, devoted husband to Catherine May for over 50 years, a loving dad to Douglas and Alison and father-in-law to Pauline. The proud granda of Vincent and Edie May. A good friend to many and a "Weel Kent" face in the village. He will be sorely missed. Funeral service, to which all are welcome, at Bervie Parish Church, on Monday, July 26, at 11am. Thereafter private. No flowers, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be made at the church door towards the Maggie Law Museum and Gourdon Mission Hall.

We were so desperately sorry to hear that our ex-neighbour Mel had passed away. A lovely man and a true gentleman. We were only neighbours for four years but in that time we would often talk. Such an easy going guy. Condolences to Cathrine and family. Love and regards from us, now over in Isle of Lewis.
