MASON (Thurso) The family of the late Donald (Don) Mason B.E.M. are sincerely grateful for the many kind expressions of sympathy shown to them following their recent sad loss. Special thanks to the Rev. Dave Macartney, Church of Scotland, for conducting a most befitting and uplifting service and for the kindness shown to the family. Sincere thanks to Dunnett's Funeral Directors, in particular Sinclair and Karen for their guidance, professionalism and superlative organisation of Don's last wishes. Thank you to all who paid their respects at the funeral service, graveside and at the roadside as he made his final journey to be laid to rest. A special thank you to Karen, Pentland Brass Band for playing the Last Post at the internment, to The Royal British Legion Scotland, Thurso Branch, for the loan of their Colour Standards, to John Brotherston and Gus Mackay for supporting the family at the interment, and to Donald, Pamela and Penny for the excellent food and refreshments. Also, to Buds 'n' Blooms for the beautifully arranged family flowers. The family are truly grateful to all the staff at Pentland View Care Home for their tender care in looking after Don in the last years of his life. Finally, a heartfelt thank you for the generous donations given to the RAF Benevolent Fund, thus far totalling £1,457.50.
