So many fantastic memories of Uncle Bill, always a twinkle in his eye, with his great sense of humour and a bit of harmless devilment never far away. Uncle Bill, Auntie Barbara, Grandpa Cowie, Uncle Ernie and I, served together in the the Royal Observer Corps (ROC) for a while, mid seventies. Thinking of Barbara at this very sad time, Bill you will never be forgotten and will be fondly remembered by everyone, who was fortunate to have known our Uncle Bill. Eric & Irene Bisset.

Such fond, happy memories of dear Uncle Bill. He was always so interested in what young nieces and nephews were up to and I vividly remember him joining in my dolls tea party, him on the floor amongst my teddies and dolls “drinking” tea from tiny cups. Always had a joke to share and a sparkle of devilment in his eye. Thinking fondly of Auntie Barbara too. Rest in peace Uncle Bill. Elizabeth, Peter and family.

I treasure memories of Uncle Bill, always a joker. I was a youngster when he came back to Scotland from New Zealand, he was always game for a laugh and as much fun as you could imagine. I had been hoping to see Bill and Barbara but due to travel restrictions it was not possible, myself and Yvonne will fondly remember him. RIP Uncle Bill.

A special uncle with an enormous sense of fun!

Such very fond memories of uncle Bill, always full of devilment and ready to make you laugh at a second's notice! Wonderful green fingers - loved our chats about our gardens and growing things - and such a big heart. So very tolerant of a young niece who always stuck her tongue out at him when he gave her a lift to primary school! Sending you huge hugs Barbara, and also to Lorraine and family. I'll be with you all in spirit on the 23rd, spending a quiet moment thinking of Bill and raising a glass to someone who is simply irreplaceable. Much love, Fiona xxx

Uncle Bill , you were so dear and funny with such an infectious zest and enthusiasm for life , that I can't believe that I won't be able to see you again. The most fun uncle ever and now at peace and rest in the arms of our loving Father. Diana , Mike and Adam Gordon.
