We are so, so sad to hear about George. He was a very special neighbour who always had time for us. He'll be sorely missed, our little boy loved talking to him and always asks about the old gnome in George's back garden when we pass the front door. It's not easy to keep a 4 year old boy engaged in conversation, but George always made our wee boy feel very important and if we ever passed him while we were in the car, our son would shout to roll the window down so he could shout 'hello' to "my friend, George". George was a very kind and patient man who we were very fond of - we will miss setting the world to rights with him. Sending love to his niece who he thought the world of, and his family and friends. George was a lovely man , a gentleman, with a great sense of humour. Painted his face at a school fete thing, he loved it, drove home to Inverurie as a lion!! Still have the photo, makes me smile as he did. You will be sorely missed.

We will miss you George

It is very sad news that George our friend and neighbour of 23 years has passed away. Memories of George always throwing the ball over the wall from his garden or popping round George myself and the children when they were small going out on the bikes. He loved his garden and spent ages keeping it immaculate . He was always on the go. He loved his running and we would chat for ages about how well he was getting on Can't believe you have gone George, we were only chatting and exchanging gifts 3 or so weeks ago. You will be greatly missed George love from Julie, Steven, Katie & Peter (Hutchison) xxxxx
