I, Barbara Oliver had a life changing experience on 19th September, 2020 when I had a stroke. My grateful thanks to Caroline Smith who came to my aid and called an ambulance and cared for me until the 2 paramedics escorted me to Raigmore Hospital, where I received treatment and excellent care. Many thanks to paramedics, consultants, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, porters and all ancillary staff for the very good care and helped me to cope with my condition during my 6 weeks in stroke ward 2A. I was then transferred by ambulance and very well cared for on the journey to Belford Hospital, Fort William where I am at present. Thank you to all medical and ancillary staff for my care, comfort and aid in Ward 1. Thanks to all who enquired about my health and to everyone who sent cards and letters which were a joy to receive and helped with my recovery. Calvin and I say a big thank you to everyone who has helped and supported him with food and many other things and helped with my well being. As we are not able to send Christmas cards, we wish you all a happy festive season and our very best wishes for 2021.
