JOHNSTON Suddenly but peacefully at ARI, on Saturday, July 18, 2020, Sidney (Sid), husband of the late Gladys, brother of Alexander (Sandy), dad of Sid, Alan and the late Gladys and Alex. Father in law of Sean, John, Nicola and the late Lorna, granda of Gemma, Michael, Lauren, Ashleigh, Niamh, Grace, Katrina and Darren. Great granda of Cameron and a very good friend to many. Forever in our hearts. Funeral private due to current restrictions. Memorial will be held at a later date for family and friends once it is safe to do so.

Hello, sorry we have just been informed of this sad news and send our condolences to the family. Sid and Gladys lived at the end of our street for many years. Sid was always at the window waiting with a wave as we went passed. He spoke to my husband about the football, and laughed about him singing going along the street. He always had time, a wee sweetie and a penny for my children. He was an absolute toff of a man, a true gent. Donna, Brian and boys xxxxx
