SMITH (Inverurie) It is with sadness that we announce the death of Mr Roy Smith, on Saturday, May 9, 2020, an Inverurie man through and through. Late of Inverurie, Preston and Great Western Road, Aberdeen, a great friend to many and a brother and son. Due to present circumstances funeral service private. "The world finally stopped for Roy and he got off."
15 May 2020 He knew and loved Inverurie as a child; the walks along the Don, Polner Dam and beyond. Here his love of nature grew. He knew the butterflies, the wild flowers and the history of the place. Eldest son of Archie and Vi, later an uncle, great uncle and recently great-great uncle. Rest in peace.

15 May 2020 His boyhood was spent here and he knew the walks along the Don and Polner Dam and beyond. He loved nature and taught me the names of the butterflies and wild flowers. He retired to the place he loved amongst his folk. Rest in peace.
