CECIL (Oran, Buckie) Peacefully at his home, Innes House, Oran, Buckie on Saturday, January 18th, 2020, William (Bill) George Cecil, GM3 KHH, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Ethel McRobbie, dearly loved dad of Cathleen, Rosella, William and George and a much loved father-in-law, granda Bill and uncle. Funeral service in North Church, Buckie on Friday, January 24 at 1.30 p.m. to which all friends are respectfully invited, thereafter cremation private. No flowers please but donations in lieu, if desired, may be given at church door for Marie Curie Nurses and RNLI.

My dear friend of 65 years was a highly respected amateur radio enthusiast in N.E. Scotland who accumulated a huge range of trophies as a result of his competitive achievements and it is with a heavy heart that I pay a huge tribute to my loyal friend with a feeling of humility and submission to Devine authority. Bill was past Hon President having been the founder of Moray Firth Amateur Radio Society and was honoured by thr Radio Society of Great Britain having completed 54 years of uninterrupted service in the Jan 2020 edition of Radio Communication Thanks for a lifelong friendship Bill, dah-di-dah.
