ROBERTSON (Isle of Skye) On Friday, July 26, a large group of friends gathered in Kilmore to say farewell to Ishbel Robertson of Seaview, Teangue (94 and 8 months). Special thanks to: the Rev. Dr. Mac Leod for leading us in worship, the neighbours who supported Ishbel so kindly, M & D Mac Leod for taking care of everything, young Angus Mac Kinnon (Saasaig) for his excellent piping and most of all the wonderful care and compassion of the staff at An Acarsaid. These poignant words were loved by Ishbel and read in Kilmore: "S ann mor atha mo ghaol dhan mhuir, S ann mor a tha mo ghaol dhan eilean a thog mi, Ach, nas motha na sin uile, tha mo ghaol dhan shluagh fhin - Soraidh slan leibh uile" "Great is my love for the sea, Great is my love for the isle which reared me, But greatest of all is the love for my own folk- Farewell to you all". The retiring offering was passed in thanks to the staff of An Acarsaid.
