SMITH (Littlehill of Knaven) Wendy and family would like to thank all relatives and friends who got in touch, sent cards and flowers and showed kindness and support following the recent sad loss of Sandy. Thanks to doctors and nurses at A. R. I. Clinic D and Borders General Hospital for their care during his illness and in his last hours. Grateful thanks to Stephen Hay for his comforting service and a special thanks to Claire, best friend, who gave a farewell tribute that meant so much to so many. Sincere thanks to Owen and staff at Buchan Funeral Directors, Mintlaw for their kindness and professional handling of the funeral arrangements, to Elsie Foubister of St Kane's Church, to the staff of the Mustard Seed Café and to New Deer Agricultural Association for kindly hosting the teas at the Show Park Ground. Finally, to all friends, mart colleagues and the farming community who celebrated the life of Sandy and who generously donated £2100 to the A. R. I Anchor Unit.
