COWIE Peacefully, after a short illness, on August 1, 2012, at A.R.I. and in the arms of her family, Betty (nee Christie), aged 79 years, beloved wife of the late John Cowie, loving youngest daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Christie and sister of the late Janet and the late Carrie. A much loved and devoted mum of Elizabeth, Brian and Angela, caring mother-in-law of Lynn and the late Ian, cherished `good looking granny' of Nicola, Dawn, Suzanne and Ethan and dearest great-granny of Chloe, also a loving sister-in-law, auntie and friend. Mum will be sadly missed by all. Funeral service at Aberdeen Crematorium, Hazlehead, East Chapel, on Wednesday, August 8, at 1.20 p.m. All family and friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, may be made in aid of Action for Kids, at crematorium exit.
