Violet Buchan 8th October 2016 Precious memories of the legendary lady who most knew simply as Vi, but more importantly to us as Mum. Vi was the loving wife of the late Alexander (Sandy), much loved mum of Kevin and Craig, mother-in-Law of Christine, Karen and Leigh-Anne, sister to Ronald and Freda, a loving grandmother to Erin, Connor and Sharelle and a well respected friend to the many who have crossed her path during her lifetime. Words cannot express the sorrow, and emptiness, that we have all felt through her passing, but are comforted in knowing that she is now back in the arms of her true love Sandy (Dad). The world is certainly a poorer place through her no longer being with us, not to hear her laugh again, or be scolded by her when she thought we were in the wrong, but if we are to respect her we should heed her words, those being â??life goes on regardlessâ??. Mum would not wish us to dwell on her passing, but to look forward to whatever tomorrow has to bring, and to reflect on the joyous moments from the past and cherish them forever. So please take a moment today, not to mourn for Vi, but to reflect fondly on her, and perhaps even raise a glass to her in her honour. Mum, we salute you.
