BUCHAN (Fraserburgh)Brenda, Jackie and John, Betty, Alex and Sandy would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for the numerous expressions of sympathy shown by cards, phone calls, visits, flowers and baking after the sudden but peaceful death of Ruby, a dearly loved mam, granny and sister. A special thank you to Alexander Buchan and Son for their sympathetic, friendly and efficient service, to Rev Catherine Mc Fie for her heart-warming service and visits, to Mattie for playing the songs and hymns that Ruby loved and to Robbie and the ladies of URC for the lovely tea provided after the funeral service. A heartfelt thanks to Ruby's unfailing neighbours and friends who supported and helped Ruby throughout her life, to the nurses of Philorth Ward, Fraserburgh Hospital who looked after Ruby during her recent stay there and to Dr Leven of Saltoun Surgery who Ruby thought highly of. Thanks also to all who joined with us at Ruby's funeral to see her off to pastures new and who generously donated the sum of £525.28 at the church door for Fraserburgh RNLI and United Reformed Church. Ruby will be sorely missed. "Death is but a step"
