JOINER (Lybster)Dr Peter Joiner, LRCP, MRCS, MB BS, DRCOG, FIMCRCS(Edin) MRPharm S, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife Elizabeth and family in the Town and County Hospital on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Much loved dad of Sarah, Owen, Catherine and Clare, dear father-in-law of Mark and Kenneth, grandad to Rowan, Antony, Alexander, Kenzie and Callum. Funeral service within Lybster Church of Scotland on Saturday, June, 10, service commencing at 11.00 a.m., thereafter to Latheron Churchyard. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations if desired may be given at the service in aid of Local Macmillan Cancer Support and Town and County Hospital Patient Care Fund.

I was sad to here of the passing of Peter. I was his driver for the out of hours service in Stranraer. Being both ex military people , we hit it off from the start, we talked the same language and shared the same humour. Not only was he a first class doctor, but was very hands on when it came to DIY .
