MURRAY (Turriff)Peacefully at Turriff Cottage Hospital, after a long illness and surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 11, 2017, Alexander George Ralph Murray, aged 76 years, beloved husband of Laura a dad and grandfather. The burial was at Burghead cemetry and a private service was held last month, born May 4, 1940, in Nairn, he lived in both Aberdeen and Inverness areas before settling in Caithness. He worked as a Scientific Officer at the Met Office until he retired. Alex was a keen gardener and member of the local golf clubs at Nairn, Reiss and Orkney, also active with St Fergus bowling club in Wick before he could no longer play.
