Beloved wife of the late Hugh, much loved mother of Tony and Michael, mother-in-law to Jessica and Lisa, loving granny to Sarah, Adam, Emma, Jacob, Hannah, Callum and Rosamund. Funeral service within Ormlie Lodge Service Rooms on Tuesday, October 18, service commencing at 12noon. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, may be given at the service in aid of Dunbar Hospital Patient Care Fund. Thereafter private cremation.

Remembering a dear cousin

I have many happy memories of Margaret. As a much younger cousin of my Mum, I can even remember her wedding in London - Crown Court Church I think. I was 8 and really enjoyed myself. There were canapes with capers on top. The best man saw me eating them and collected the off the platters for me. As I left the capers in an ashtray we knew how many I had - 21, I think!! I always enjoyed Margaret's humour and although I didn't see her often recently, I loved her emails and talking to her on the phone. We'll all miss her.

Margaret was my mother's first cousin - her father, Hunter and my grandfather, Keith Waters were brothers. She was a delightful, warm person with a wonderful sense of humour and an enthusiastic perspective on life. We didn't see her often but were connected frequently by mail and email. Margaret was a caring, thoughtful person. The calendar Margaret sent last Christmas featuring beautiful photos of Thurso is hanging at my desk. My daughter Lara and I are very thankful that we were able to see Margaret and Hugh in Thurso a few years ago - what a grand time we had in this beautiful region of Scotland where our family came from. We shared stories, photos, memories and laughter. All our love to Mike and Tony and your families as you deal with your very sad loss.....we are thinking of you - Janet, Lara, Arnold, Bruce
