DONALD
Hilary, Catherine and Isla wish to thank family, friends and neighbours for their kindness and messages of comfort following the death of Ian. We would also like to thank all those who attended the ceremony for Ian's life at the Park Café, Hazlehead, which was superbly led by John S Mc Kinnon, and to Mark and Michelle at Mark Shaw Funeral Services for their compassion and consideration in the funeral arrangements. Our appreciation as well to the Kincorth Medical Practice, especially Dr Mitchell, the District Nurses, Sue and Gillian, Elaine from Macmillan, the community nurses and Nicole, the OT, for their care and professionalism and for giving us the support and advice to enable us to care for Ian at home. We would like to recognise the care given to Ian at Roxburghe House, the kind-heartedness shown by nurses and the endeavours of Caroline, Alison and Erin in preparing Ian for going home. Our special thanks to Pauline and Sam, Ian's main carers from My Care, for their gentleness, humanity and humour. They, along with Helen and Sharon, allowed Ian to maintain his dignity and comfort and to fulfil his wish to be at home during his last weeks. Finally, thank you to all those who made a donation in memory of Ian, £435 was raised for Maggie's Aberdeen.
