BROWN (Forres) Peacefully at Cathay Nursing Home, Forres on Monday, October 17, 2011, George Moir Christie in his 97th year, of Romach Road, Forres, devoted husband of the late Rea Hair, much loved dad to Hilary and Eric, a dear father-in-law, grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service in St Laurence Parish Church, Forres, on Friday, October 21 at 2 p.m., thereafter to Clovenside Cemetery. All friends welcome, family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Cathay Local Residents Fund, can be made at church door or forwarded to Andrew Smith Funeral Director, 20 High Street, Forres, IV36 1DB.

I am so sorry to hear of Georges passing, he was such a lovely man, I was in Dr Grays and Dufftown with him, what a lot of laughs we had, I will always remember him, I used to tell him he looked more like a tourist( with his spiked hair and his glasses on his head and the jumper round his shoulders) than a patient, and the laughs we had with him fighting with the paper, or trying to catch his icecream, I am sure he will be playing his round in golf in that great big course up there, Rest in Peace George Sue Pattie Elgin
