ANDERSON Peacefully at home, on October 3, 2011, Ainslie Anderson, aged 86. Retired surgeon, son of the late William and Barbara Anderson, husband of the late Eileen Anderson, and devoted father to Bill, Sue and Jim. Funeral at 1.50 p.m., on Friday, October 14, at Markeaton Crematorium, Derby DE22 4NH. No flowers, but donations, if desired, to Derbyshire Wildlife Trust via Funeral Directors W.Jones & Son, Main Road, Brailsford, Derby DE6 3DA Telephone 01335 360319

Goodbye to a well loved and gifted surgeon. Those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him send our sincere condolences to his family. I shall always remember him humming away to his beloved Beatles songs when I worked in theatre with him.
Maddy Hackett (Secretary and Editor of Derby Nurses League Magazine est 1946 and still going strong - most of us retired now of course. They don't make them like Mr Anderson today!!)
