McBAIN (Fintray/Kintore) It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Ivor McBain, aged 88 years, on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, beloved husband of the late Isobel, devoted father of Barrie and father-in-law of Malcolm. Funeral private due to current restrictions, however, for any friends that wish to pay their last respects, the funeral cortege will leave the family home on Friday, June 18, at approx. 12.10pm, en route to a service at Kintore Parish Church, thereafter to Kintore Cemetery. Family flowers only please but donations, if so desired, in memory of Ivor, can be made to Kintore Senior Citizens Club, via Craig & Beverly Funeral Directors. Ivor was a patient, kind and courteous man, a great storyteller with sharp wit and apt humour, a countryman, gardener, sportsman and proficient angler, a true friend to all. He will be sorely missed. Reunited with the best catch of his life. Gone Fishing - Tight lines!
