MAY & HARRY McINTOSH Celebrating their Diamond Wedding. Married in Banff 28th May 1960. They met when Harry was a regular member of the popular Gordon Urquhart's Band, Banff. They are proud parents of 3 daughters and a son, 7 grand-children and 4 great- grand children. They were devastated when daughter Yvonne sadly died in 1991 with cancer at the young age of 27 leaving a year old daughter. Eight years of their life from 1965 was spent working in NSW Australia where May was a Restaurant Supervisor and Harry as a licensed Aircraft Technician on Prop Jet Aircraft following initially a spell with Shell. They returned to Aberdeen in 1973 where May worked until retirement as a Post Office Assistant. She also had regular patients for reflexology treatment. Harry was employed by French company Comex in Aberdeen as a Diving Equipment Technician and after 2 years promoted to Workshop Manager. The last 10 years of Harry's working life was joint owner in a Certification and Lifting Company employing 40 staff. They are both very proud of their family and content with their working life achievements through the years. Now both totally relaxed in retirement at Kintore with their wee Lhasa Apso friend "Maizy". They are extremely disappointed due to coronavirus restrictions that a planned family celebration for their special day had to be cancelled.
