Suddenly, aged 84 years, on May 13, 2004, at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, Alexander William MacKenzie, of Blairbeg, Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire, retired General Merchant, former County and Regional Councillor. Son of the late John K and Jean MacKenzie, dearly beloved husband of Kathleen, devoted dad to John, Julia, Kathleen and Somerled, much loved grandfather to Natalie, Kristie, Samuel, Elizabeth and Nathan. Beloved brother of Duncan, John and the late Sorley MacKenzie. Funeral service on Wednesday, May 19, at 11 a.m., in Urquhart and Glenmoriston Church of Scotland, Drumnadrochit, followed by interment in New Kilmore Cemetery. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations, if desired, may be given at the service for Riding for the Disabled or forwarded to the Funeral Directors, John Fraser & Son, Chapel Street, Inverness.I
