SUTHERLAND Wilson Alexander, formerly mathematics fellow of New College, Oxford, died peacefully at his home in Cumbria on Monday, October 7, aged 84, after a long illness. Beloved husband of Ruth, father of Andrew, Anna and Ian and brother of Jean. As a dear grandfather, uncle, brother, father-in-law and brother-in-law he will be much missed.
