EDWARD Peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Angusfield House Care Home, Margaret (Rita), aged 93 years, formerly of Rosehill Crescent, only daughter to the late Dan and Margaret Edward, former teacher at Aberdeen and Hazlehead Academies and former secretary of the F. P. Association. Funeral service in Aberdeen Crematorium (East Chapel), on Monday, September 23, at 1pm. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only, please.

I obtained an A in Higher maths thanks to Rita as I was so poorly with Glandular fever & off school for a year & she sent me home work to do so I could sit the exam! When I was living abroad I met her for a coffee when I was home in Aberdeen till she moved into the home. I owe her a lot for taking the time to nurture my maths & I wouldn't have had a career as a geophysicist if it hadn't been for her teaching. I worked in a man's world for many years but had the ability thanks to her
