MACKIE The family of the late Andrew (Andy) wish to acknowledge sincerely the overwhelming expressions of sympathy extended to them personally by letters, cards and floral tributes from relatives, friends and neighbours in their recent sad loss and for those who attended the funeral service of their beloved husband and cherished father on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Aberdeen Funeral Directors, 49, Causewayend, Aberdeen. Special gratitude is paid to Andy's brother Tommy who supported Elsie and Andrea not only practically, but also emotionally and unconditionally throughout this heartbreaking time and also to all his Nephews, Nieces and Cousins who travelled to attend the ceremony, but also not forgetting his family who were unable to attend. Thanks to the Doctors and District nurses at the Elmbank Group Practice who cared and supported Andy throughout his illness over the last five months of his life, with special mention to Dr Jenni Vorenkamp, Dr Jaya Singh and District Nurse Jane Stroud. Thank you also to Diane Alsop, Macmillan Nurse, NHS 24 and the staff at Websters Chemist, King Street for the care and support they provided to the family. Throughout Andy's illness the family have relied heavily upon their neighbours Alison and Alan Taylor and they wish to thank them from the bottom of their hearts for always just being there. The Family wish to acknowledge the Aberdeen Funeral Directors, for their guidance and dignified arrangements, the Reverend Jim Weir for his words of comfort and also Azalea Flowers and Malmaison. The Reverend Weir ended his service by professing that Andy is on his journey to a new life, that his family and friends gone before will be saying with open arms "Hello Andy". Both Elsie and Andrea find great comfort that he is now with his family, his late father and mother, Davie and Jean and brothers and sister, Davie, Adam and Maureen. He lived for those he loved and those he loved remember.
