SMITH (Maryculter) Sadly after a hard fought battle, Dr C Christopher Smith (CC) retired Consultant Physician, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, died at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, deeply loved husband of Sheila, father of Mike, Roddy, Joanna and Papa to his 8 grandchildren. Funeral service in Baldarroch Crematorium, Crathes on Tuesday, July 16 at 11.30am to which all are welcome. Family flowers only please but donations if desired at the chapel exit door for Leukaemia Research.

Chris (CC) was a team mate at Aberdeenshire Cricket Club for 8 years. A stylish and hard hitting left handed batter and useful slow right arm bowler, Chris was highly respected by all who played with or against him. He made one of the greatest hundreds I ever witnessed at Stirling, and several other truly brilliant and memorable innings including 50 against Scarborough in a cup match which I'll never forget.
He was kind to me when I first joined the Shire 1st X1 as a 17 year old, welcoming me and looking after me on and off the field. My condolences to Mike, Roddie and all the family.
