SHAW Peacefully at home on Saturday, June 15, 2019, Ian (Tattie) aged 85 years (former Granite Draughtsman). Beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Neil and Jill, father in law of Charlie and Eva, adored grandad Rachael, her husband Olly, Emma, Catriona, Neave and Euan, big grandad to Oscar and Louie, a loving brother of Irene and the late Marlene. Funeral service at Aberdeen Crematorium Hazlehead (east chapel) on Friday, June 28, at 11.30am. All friends respectfully invited. Resting at Mark Shaw Funeral Services, 26 Abbotswell Crescent, Kincorth.

I cannot believe I am leaving a tribute to a man I admired so much and hoped would be in my life for so much longer. Ian and his family drew apart from us for so many years although I always knew and hoped Auntie Make (Mary) would hold our families ties together. Uncle Ian was to me the rock of our family - his delicious wicked sense of humour would always keep me smiling whenever I'd meet him. To stay I'll miss him is trite - he leaves another enormous hole to be filled. I will try (and hope it can be) by his remaining family. God Bless Uncle Ian, Tony (Toe) Blanchard
