FORBES (Braemar) Peacefully at Alastrean House, Tarland on Sunday, April 14, 2019, after a long illness, William, aged 77 years, beloved husband of Lynne, dear brother of Johan, Nancy and Catherine, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Sadly missed by all. Funeral service at Braemar Parish Church on Wednesday, April 24, at 1pm thereafter to Braemar Cemetery. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, at church door for Dementia UK.

I met Willie (and Lynne) when I visited with Iain and subsequently commissioned a painting ; I also have a few bronzes. We often use the word 'character' when describing people, but in Willie's case it doesn't begin to describe the great personality that he was and his creative talent. It was a pleasure and an honour to meet you Willie, I will always treasure your work. Lynne, please accept my condolences at this difficult time - Anne Gillespie
