WRIGHT (Bridge Of Don)Peacefully after a long illness at A. R. I on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, Dr Christopher Wright (Chris), aged 71 years. Beloved husband of Jean, treasured dad of Michael Christopher and the late Matthew. Funeral service to be held at King's College Chapel, University Road, Aberdeen, on Friday, August 17 at 1.00pm to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations may be given on behalf of Stroke Association and Young Minds at the chapel door.

I was Head of the School of Social Science, at the University of Aberdeen, when Chris was eventually persuaded to retire. It was not easy for him. No-one was more completely dedicated to his students, to the craft of teaching, to his subject, and indeed to the University. Above all, I remember Chris for his kindness and generosity. He was the most gentle of men, and will be greatly missed.
