RITCHIE Rogart Passed away peacefully, in the Cambusavie Unit, Golspie, on Thursday, August 2, 2018. James, of No. 7 Eiden, Rogart, dear husband to the late Jean Ritchie and a friend to many. Funeral service will take place at St Callan's Church of Scotland, Rogart on Thursday, August 9, at 1:00pm, and thereafter to Rogart Cemetery. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, may be given in lieu at the church door for the SSPCA.

I am the brother of Joan, Jims first wife. My wife and children lived next door to Jim and Joan for three 3 years at Charing Kent.Jim was liked by everybody and helped us in many ways. He was a staff sergeant at Ashford REME depot.He was also best man at our wedding.I would have liked to do the same for him but I was on a troop ship heading for Greece when he was married Rest in peace Jim a good friend.

Uncle to his late sister Edith's sons Stephen and Ian, and great-uncle to Matthew, James and Simon. Regrettably, members of the Russ family (based in the south of England) were unable to attend the funeral in time. RIP Uncle Jim.

Step father to Jean Ritchie’s daughters Fiona and Kathleen and grandfather to Katie and Kieran. The family was not informed of the funeral, so his family were unable to fulfill the request for ‘family flowers’.
