Funeral service in Howe Trinity Parish Church, Alford on Thursday, February 22, at 11.30 am. All friends respectfully invited. Donations, if desired, can be made at church door for The Anchor Unit-ARI. Committal thereafter private. Resting at Duncan & Mc Combie's Rest Rooms, Parkhill Road, Alford.

However, she did let me know when her cancer returned with a vengeance and that it was terminal. I was sad to know this as she had already gone through a lot already.
I am sorry that I didn't know the funeral arrangements as I don't take the P & J. Only now have i realised that her passing must have been soon after she emailed me from hospital.
We shared Christian faith and discovered that she had known of me as Rector of St Devenick's Church in Bieldside back in the 1970s and 80s. I also still have a chair which her Dad had re-upholstered when he had his business in Cults.
I was glad to know that she had begun to worship at Howe Trinity, where I was sure she would receive good support and care.

I only knew Christine for a very short time but it was a pleasure to know her. She was very brave and bore her illness with courage and dignity.
