SMITHPeacefully at ARI, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, Irene Adams, aged 88 years, (former nurse tutor at ARI and Principal Lecturer in Health Sciences at Bolton Institute of Higher Education). Very great friend to many. Funeral service at Gilcomston South Church, on Thursday November 23, at 10.30am to which all friends are respectfully invited. No flowers please but donations in lieu may be made at the church door for Dementia Scotland.

I have known Irene all of my life (and I am now 76). She was part of our family and I loved her family home at 53 Huntly Street, it was a very happy home which she was welcomed into and was part of their family. She was loved there and there were many happy times, especially until Hugh died in 1952. She suited her career in nursing and hopefully had a happy life. I left Aberdeen in 1961, when Irene was abroad. Have seen her occasionally but will not be attending the funeral. Will be interested to know if she will be buried or cremated.
