JOHNSTON (Thurso)Peacefully in Dunbar Hospital, Thurso on Thursday, November 9, 2017, Douglas, aged 81 years, (of Johnstons Bakers). Much loved husband of Rena, loving dad of Helen, Douglas, Gordon and Eilidh, a dearly loved grampa and great-grampa, a dear father-in-law, brother and uncle. Funeral within Strathy Church of Scotland on Saturday, November 18, service commencing at 2.00pm, thereafter to Strathy Cemetery. All friends respectfully invited. Family flowers only please, but donations if desired, may be given in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Care and Caithness Palliative Care.

Our sincere condolences and thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
Who will shout at me now to " Go away and clean my car before parking in front of the Wee Shop? " So often, he used to make me laugh. Another time years ago - he watched me park the car and while I was at work he washed one side of it and it was gleaming - needless to say the other side was filthy and it was hours later before someone laughed and told me what had happened! So many laughs over the years.
Douglas will be sadly missed
