MASSON (Aboyne) Peacefully at Praesmohr House on Monday, March 27, 2017, Elma aged 90 years, beloved wife of the late Dudley (Jock), dearly loved mother of Kathleen, Dudley, Lorna and the late Ian, adored sister, grandmother, great granny and a dear friend and companion to Ian. Sadly missed by all. Memorial ceremony at The Huntly Arms Function Room on Friday, March 31, at 1.00 p.m., to which all friends are respectfully invited, family flowers only please but donations, if desired, to The British Heart Foundation.

A rose once grew where all could see
Sheltered beside a garden wall
And, as the days passed swiftly by,
It spread its branches, straight and tall.
One day a beam of light shone through
A crevice that had opened wide –
The rose bent gently toward its warmth
Then passed beyond to the other side.
Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
Be comforted – the rose blooms there –
Its beauty even greater now,
