BROWN (Balmedie/Aberdeenshire)It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of John Gordon Brown, at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, on June 16, 2016. Beloved husband of Margaret, much loved dad of David and Lindsey and treasured grandad of Evelyn. Funeral service to be held at Aberdeen Crematorium (West Chapel) on Friday, July 1, 2016, at 1.35pm. All family and friends are warmly invited to attend and encouraged to wear bright colours inspired by his bold Works of Art. Family flowers only please, but donations may be given in lieu at the chapel exit, on behalf of The John Gordon Brown - Memorial Prize at Gray's School of Art. Currently resting at Wm Gilchrist Funeral Directors, Ellon Road, Bridge of Don. He is truly missed.
