SMART (Old Rayne) Ann, Julie, Susan and family would like to send heartfelt thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours who have been very kind and have shown support, in so many ways, over the past 5 years during Ken's illness. A very special thanks to Dr Cassidy and her colleagues at Insch Medical Practice, the Anchor Unit and Haematology at ARI and the nursing and domestic staff of Insch War Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. The family would like to thank Sean Wyness from Craig & Beverly, Funeral Directors for his professionalism and kindness in handling the funeral arrangements. Warm thanks to Vanessa Smith of the Humanist Society for capturing the essence of Ken's life with a personal uplifting service. Many thanks also to Frances Mitchell for playing Ken's favourite tunes, Alan Gardiner and Davy Beveridge for accompanying The Parting Glass, to Trina's Flowers, Insch, for the beautiful floral tributes and the Treetops Hotel for the lovely tea. Finally, thanks to all friends and relatives who came from near and far to pay their last respects at the crematorium, your presence and kind words made the day easier for us to bear. Your generous donations of £1000 will be donated to the Friends of Insch Hospital, where Ken was cared for lovingly, over the last few weeks.
