Devastated

I am absolutely devastated to see this. I know it was eight years ago but Clayton was my best friend when we both lived in Ellon. I live in Nottinghamshire now and unfortunately don’t get up to Scotland as much as I’d like. I am coming up in a few days and thought I would Google him to see if I could get in touch and catch up. I still can’t believe what I saw when I read the articles about his passing. I have read them over and over. If anyone knows where the crematorium is so I can pay my respects when I am up there I would be very grateful. Catherine and Eric won’t remember me but I am deeply sorry for your loss. He was the kindest person I have known in my 52 years. We were the first pupils to attend Meiklemill Primary school when it first opened and I still have a photo of him and I at my 8th birthday party back in 1978. I will treasure it forever.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Clayton many years ago while my son played with ARFC colts. Clayton meant so much to so many people for being the person that he was. Thus being his family, his rugby family and his school. The values that he held himself and what he instilled in others. My thoughts are with you all....
